My Story

As a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, I have always loved where I’m from. Since I grew up with cows for neighbors, moving to the bustling city of Oxford, Mississippi was a large hurdle for me-one I overcame by pursuing a love for writing. From the time I learned how to read, I have appreciated literature and storytelling…so much that I would come up with my own novels and screenplays. I’ve always considered myself a creative, ever since I picked up my first Little Golden Book and tried to write my own.

Majoring in integrated marketing communications was a no-brainer for me, since I was not only interested in exploring journalism, but all the other aspects it entails: public relations, design, business, you name it! As a rising senior graduating this spring, I’m open to a multitude of areas in the field, and that’s what I love about it.

My main goal is to one day build a career in my home community on the coast, share my faith, and make an impact. My dream, on the other hand, is to one day write and sell a best-selling book (or blog). I’d also love to promote holistic approaches that improve mental and physical health for overall wellness. However, for now I am simply pursuing a place where I can not only gain experience, but enjoy my work. Wherever you hand me a pen (or keyboard), I am content.
